Construction assurance · UK rail and infrastructure

Assurance that stands up to the reviewer, the auditor and the client.

StructAssure Ltd provides quality management, chartered engineering assurance and documented quality systems to contractors and delivery teams on UK rail and infrastructure programmes. Led by a Chartered Construction Manager and Chartered Quality Professional with fifteen years on the country's major rail schemes.

What we do

Three service lines, one discipline: evidence that holds.

01

Quality management and assurance

Quality management systems, project quality plans, inspection and test plan regimes, Entry Into Service and handback assurance, and audits. Built to be used on site, and to survive the review that follows.

02

Chartered engineering assurance

Contractor's Responsible Engineer (mechanical), verification and validation, and commissioning witness. Independent, chartered sign-off that carries weight with the client's assurance chain.

03

StructAssure Quality Systems

Downloadable document systems for UK contractors: a full ISO 9001 construction QMS, project quality plan, ITP libraries and check sheets. Each document comes with a completed worked example.

Certification. These documents support your route to certification. They do not confer it. ISO 9001:2015 certification can only be granted by a UKAS-accredited certification body following audit.
Where the experience comes from

Fifteen years inside the assurance chain on the programmes that set the standard.

Crossrail, Transport for Wales Core Valley Lines, TfGM Metrolink and Network Rail programmes. Quality Manager and Mechanical CRE roles on live rail schemes, reviewing the ITPs, quality plans and handover packs that contractors submit, and returning the ones that fall short.

That is the vantage point the work is done from. Every document, register and audit finding is written to pass the reviewer on the other side of the table, because the person writing it has been that reviewer.

  • Crossrail — quality management and assurance delivery
  • Transport for Wales Core Valley Lines — traction power and systems verification and validation
  • TfGM Metrolink — traction substation Entry Into Service and handback
  • Network Rail programmes — quality management and CRE support
How we work

Plain principles.

Written to be accepted first time

Acceptance criteria are measurable and cited to the governing standard. A reviewer can accept them, an auditor can verify them and a site operative can work to them.

Nothing borrowed from clients

Everything StructAssure issues or sells is authored from scratch against public standards. No client's project records, templates or intellectual property are reused.
